Run Your Social Media with Claude

  • By Praveen Jha · Updated 2026-10-23 · 8 min read · Social media

Turn one blog post into captions, a Canva design and a scheduled post - all in one Claude chat. The stack is 5 installs plus one workflow. Do them once, and after that every post starts with pasting a blog into Claude.

Setup: 5 installs, one time Then: 1 workflow, every post Input: Blog, script or notes

Who this is for: Creators, founders and small teams who already write one piece of content - a blog post, a video script or notes - and want Claude to turn it into platform-native social posts, visuals and scheduling without opening five separate tools.

What is inside

  1. The stack at a glance - what each piece is for
  2. Install 1 - Content Repurposing skill
  3. Install 2 - Avoid AI Writing skill
  4. Install 3 - Marketing plugin (official Anthropic)
  5. Install 4 - Canva MCP for visuals
  6. Install 5 - Zernio MCP for posting
  7. The workflow - the 5-step loop, every time
  8. Checklist and troubleshooting

The key idea: Each version is written for how people read on that platform, so LinkedIn does not get your Instagram caption. That platform-native rewrite is the whole point of the stack - do not skip Install 1.

1. The stack at a glance

Five pieces, five different jobs. Two skills teach Claude how to write, one plugin adds official marketing skills, and two connectors give Claude hands - Canva to make the image, Zernio to post it.

Order matters: Install in the order in this guide. The workflow on page 6 calls each piece by name, so a missing install shows up as a failed step in the loop, not as a setup error.

Install 1 and 2 - the two writing skills

Install 1 - Content Repurposing skill

This teaches Claude to turn one piece of your content (your blog post, script or notes) into posts for each platform. Each version is written for how people read on that platform, so LinkedIn does not get your Instagram caption.

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize > Skills.
  2. Click "+", then "Add new skill".
  3. Upload the skill downloaded from the GitHub repo: github.com/rampstackco/claude-skills - the content-repurposing skill (skills/content-repurposing/SKILL.md).
  4. Click Install.

Note: to add it manually, click "+" > "Create skill" > upload the skill's .md file.

Install 2 - Avoid AI Writing skill

This teaches Claude to write without AI markers. In the workflow it runs after repurposing, on the generated content itself.

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize > Skills.
  2. Click "+", then "Add new skill".
  3. Upload the skill downloaded from the GitHub repo: github.com/conorbronsdon/avoid-ai-writing
  4. Click Install.

Note: to add it manually, click "+" > "Create skill" > upload the skill's .md file.

Verify both: After installing, both skills should appear under Customize > Skills. If a skill is missing there, the workflow prompts on page 6 will not trigger it.

Install 3 and 4 - Marketing plugin and Canva

Install 3 - Marketing plugin

A bundle of official Anthropic skills for drafting content, planning campaigns, checking brand voice and reporting on performance.

  1. Go to Customize > Plugins.
  2. Browse the marketplace, or search "Marketing".
  3. Click Install on the Marketing plugin.
  4. Its skills now show up automatically in chat. No extra setup.

Install 4 - Canva MCP

This makes the actual image - carousel slides, quote cards or story graphics - to go with your caption.

  1. Go to Customize > Connectors.
  2. Find Canva in the connector directory and click Connect.
  3. You will be redirected to canva.com. Log in and click Allow to authorize Claude.
  4. Canva now shows as a connected app inside Claude.

Do not confuse the paths: Skills go in Customize > Skills, the Marketing plugin in Customize > Plugins, and Canva in Customize > Connectors. Three different screens - most setup mistakes are a piece looked for on the wrong one.

Install 5 - Zernio MCP, the posting piece

This is the piece that actually posts. One connection, and Claude can publish or schedule to Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and more, and engage with followers.

Free plan: Your first 2 connected social accounts, unlimited posts, no credit card.

  1. Sign up for a Zernio account first, then in Claude go to Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click "+" > "Add custom connector". Zernio is not in the default directory yet, so do not search for it there.
  3. Name it "Zernio" and paste this server URL exactly:

Copy-ready text

https://mcp.zernio.com/mcp
  1. Click Add, then Connect, and sign in with your Zernio account.
  2. In Zernio's dashboard, connect the social accounts you want Claude to post to.

Step 5 is inside Zernio, not Claude. Connecting the MCP connector alone does not give Claude anywhere to post. The social accounts themselves are connected in the Zernio dashboard.

The workflow - same chat, every time

Once everything is installed, this is the whole loop. Same chat, every time:

  1. Paste your blog post (or script) into Claude.
  2. Ask: Repurpose this into an Instagram post.
  3. Ask: Run avoid-ai-writing on the generated content.
  4. Ask: Generate a matching carousel image in Canva.
  5. Ask: Post this through Zernio.

Or schedule it for later, instead of posting now.

Repeat per platform: Instagram is the example above. For another platform, repeat step 2 naming that platform - do not reuse the Instagram caption.

What a finished run produces: a platform-native post passed through Avoid AI Writing, a matching Canva carousel image, and a post published now or scheduled through Zernio.
